Starting in Husum, Germany and ending in Dubrovnik, Croatia, this 2,000 kilometer long "road trip" was a real pleasure to plan, and is a trip I'd love to make myself some day.

Austria is bordered by the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. The territory of Austria covers 32,377 square miles and has a temperate and alpine climate. Austria's terrain is highly mountainous, only one third of the country is below 1,640 feet. Standard German is the country’s official language, the majority of the population though speak local Bavarian dialects of German. Make your way to the airport for your overnight flight to Hamburg, Germany.
Check out of your hotel and jump back in your car for a 1 1/2 hour drive to Salzburg. Be sure to charge your camera as you will definitely want to take some pictures.
Pull out that bathing suit, strap on those hiking boots and bring out that smile!
